A few answers for peace of mind.
Do I need compatible equipment?
Yes. This service complements a compatible, approved Throttle Up, Gas Drive Dash, or Gas Drive connected to the app. The subscription does not include equipment. Check your model’s compatibility before subscribing.
What changes between the three modes?
With Alerts only, you receive information without automatic adjustments. Cameras only lets you configure limiter operation when approaching cameras. Always limit adjusts the limiter to the reported road speed limit, respecting settings and operating conditions.
Can I choose when to receive a speed camera alert?
Yes. Advance notice can be set between 10 and 30 seconds. The calculation uses the reported distance and current speed. Live Activity highlights the camera when it enters that window.
Does it work with the iPhone locked?
A Live Activity that has already started can continue receiving information while the system allows the app to run in the background. Automatic background limiter adjustments depend on a specific option that is off by default. Execution is not guaranteed if the system suspends or closes the app.
Does it need internet access and location?
Yes. Information depends on a connection, recent location, and data available from the service. Coverage may vary. The app removes information when it is no longer valid.
Does the assistant replace the driver’s attention?
No. It provides driving support. Always observe road signs and conditions; the driver remains responsible for driving and controlling speed. The service does not guarantee prevention of fines or accidents.
